It’s not often that a hand-carved mahogany bar gets three lives. But this bar is special, and its owner, Neil Hirsh, is excited to see it continue serving the Wellington community in his new development venture Coach House Wellington, a luxurious, highly serviced condominium in the heart of Palm Beach’s equestrian village.
This distinctive bar has spent the last 30 years of its life in The Player’s Club. Built in the 70s by the late William “Bill” Ylvasaker, this Wellington hot spot not only served the who’s-who of the equestrian community but also royal guests such as Prince Charles and the Duchess of York. Ylvasaker, a businessman and polo player, acquired the bar from Urban Archeology, an architectural salvage design firm in New York, NY. It’s rumored that the bar is over 100 years old and originated circa the 1920s serving as a bar at an inn in Massachusetts.
In February, the bar was disassembled and stored, and The Player’s Club underwent demolition to make way for the Coach House residences. This new Wellington condominium is a modern sanctuary infused with the richness and warmth of an updated traditional design. Accented with exquisite materials and highly amenitized, Coach House living will be easy, refined and well-deserved. The exceptional level of service will allow one to live the worry-free, lock-and-leave lifestyle so many now enjoy.
This exquisite, pet-friendly property provides all the amenities to fully enjoy every perfect moment with family and friends, including a Lounge where this special bar will be reassembled and begin a new life. Coach House also features private climate-controlled garages, direct elevator access and a limited number of guest suites and pool-side cabanas which are available for purchase.
Residents will enjoy the warm, familiar experience of a fully staffed property. From the reception team, concierge, valet staff and butler service, to the on-site property management professionals, residents will receive personal service at a level that epitomizes carefree living.
